If you've been within the Blinx and gimmick account sphere on Twitter recently, you may have noticed the massive influx of Blinx pfp accounts.
It all started with Poorly Aged Things (@PoorlyAgedStuff), a popular gimmick account that, you guessed it, showcases unfortunately-aged things. On March 8 they tweeted out a photo of an infamous magazine cover snippet featuring Blinx.
This cursed image has been reposted multiple times on Twitter before, yet this tweet ended up being @PoorlyAgedStuff's most popular tweet with currently over 37K likes and 6K retweets.
Soon after the tweet blew up, @PoorlyAgedStuff "broke character" (a slippery slope for all gimmick accounts) and made a follow-up tweet recommending the game to their followers. They also changed their pfp to Blinx cause it makes sense to have a time-related character as the mascot of poorly aged things. Naturally, Context for Poorly Aged Things @AgedContext (the sister account who gives helpful context for @PoorlyAgedStuff's tweets) followed suit and changed their pfp to Blinx too. Two months later there are dozens of "Poorly Aged-Verse" Blinx pfp accounts on Twitter that have formed their own weird little community of replying to every @PoorlyAgedStuff tweet with their own unique gimmick. Some of them regularly get hundreds of likes.
Some give incorrect context, some give context for other context accounts and others take a more unique route like writing limericks or how gay the poorly aged thing is. It's amusing seeing what people can come up with.
To give you an idea of how many accounts there are, one of the accounts @FalseContext created the Poorly Aged family tree. This would have certainly been outdated within a day with the creation of another Blinx pfp account.
Someone else tried to map the relationship between every Poorly Aged account which is way more complex than it should be.
The best thing to come out of this whole thing is the memes and artwork. I joined in too cause what other reason do I have to draw almost 20 Blinx's in one image.

Now every time someone says Blinx has aged like shit (which for the record, has aged very well), I have the immediate urge to reply with "Poorly Aged™?" these days.
I would have never imagined that people would be making Blinx pfp accounts for clout in 2020, but times are strange, and if people are having fun shitposting as Blinx, then good for them. And hey, if Microsoft ever did revive Blinx and release a third game, @PoorlyAgedStuff would have some great poorly aged material.
