Jimmy is the shopkeeper for the Time Sweepers in Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space. His shop is located in the Time Factory Hub where you can buy new sweepers, bombs, fire extinguishers, spike balls, time bowls, retry hearts, food and many other useful items. You can also sell things you no longer need to earn gold.
You can also register new members, raise your rank in rank up exams, get new cat medals, do a challenge for items, try to win challenges for emblems (and sometimes items) and exchange your won emblems for rare items.
You are not allowed to enter Jimmy's shop if you haven't completed the first Tom Tom level.
Jimmy harbours quite a resemblance to Catherine, the female shopkeeper in Blinx: The Time Sweeper. They both share the same fur design and type (white fur with light brown tips on the tail and ears), as well as the same sky blue coloured eyes. What uniquely differentiates Jimmy from his female counterpart is his silver jacket, blue high neck shirt, gloves, boots and his hair.
Jimmy is a shopkeeper and trainer in the Time Factory. He is rather animated and of a cheerful demeanour, offering almost exclusively positive responses to the Time Sweepers he works within both fields of work. In addition to selling a wide variety of goods (ranging from food and clothes to sweepers and sweeper accessories) to all Sweepers, his shop also allows particular employees (for example, those of a specific rank or above) to purchase more advanced hardware. Many things may also be sold to the shop, including time controls, time crystals, and miscellaneous findings such as trash from other worlds. As a result, leftover sweeper ammunition is sold to his shop upon returning to the Time Factory from any given world. Conveniently, his shop also connects directly to the locker rooms.
He is also tasked with training new recruits, carrying out their graduation exams and subsequent exams to increase their rank from the lowest of one to the highest of five. These training activities and exams take place in a warp room, which is often prepared with slick floors, crates to climb, and the like. A Sweeper joining a new team must also pass such an activity in order to be registered.
Alongside the required exercises for rising in rank, Jimmy also oversees general training activities and offers rewards as an incentive. For any given exercise, a sweeper can win up to three tokens based on performance. These tokens can be exchanged for a very small amount of gold or products from the shop in larger quantities. The largest prize won only by exchanging every obtainable token from every exercise at the same time, is a photo of Catherine (titled "Bromide") in the shop.
In Hebrew, American English and British English, the meaning of Jimmy is "supplanter". A supplanter takes over or takes the place of someone else, usually on purpose. Jimmy takes Catherine's role as Shopkeeper in MOTAS so it was either chosen for this very reason or purely coincidental.
Buying from the Shop
- “Welcome! So good to see you!”
- “Welcome! Take your time shopping here.”
- “You’re not buying anything? Well, I’m going to put the things back on the shelf, if that’s all right.”
- “Nothing caught your eye, huh? Well, maybe next time.”
- “Looks like you don’t have enough money.”
- “Your locker is full. You need to sell something.”
- “Ready to check out?”
- “Thank you!”
- “You’re leaving? Well, I’ll tell you what. To show my appreciation for your purchase, I’ll let you use the shortcut to the locker room.”
- “How about it?”
- “You’re leaving? Do you want to stop by the locker room?”
- “Thanks! Come again soon!”
- “That’s quite a haul! Thank you!”
