Picaro is a Time Sweeper who appears as a supporting character in Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space, leader of his respective team and member of the backup team.
Picaro's fur is predominantly white with black on the right side of his face and light grey on his left ear. His tail is white with a patch of black in the middle. He wears a purple jacket, black pants, yellow lens goggles and white gloves and boots.
Picaro is outspoken and enthusiastic, volunteering excitedly to travel to World A000 during the Big Crystal incident. He is also notably apathetic when Pelon asks for his opinion on the girl appearing in Benito's dream. Picaro could be considered as the occasional comic relief for the Time Sweeper segments.
Picaro contributed to the Time Factory's efforts during the Big Crystal incident, though his contribution was limited to searching for information. Following the Tom Tom invasion of the Time Factory, Picaro left for the Time Furnace World in search of information, seemingly finding nothing of significance.
Much later, he travelled to the Time Oil Well World in search of a Big Crystal fragment detected there. He then met the Time Sweeper Protagonist, who left him behind to hold off Tom Toms by leaving for Planet Two Falls in a jet. Picaro objected to this (possibly in part due to the TS Protag making demands immediately upon seeing him and mispronouncing his name), though he was left regardless. He appears again at the end of the game hugging a Tom Tom Gang member.
Behind the Name
Picaro (or Picaroon) is Spanish for a clever rouge or adventurer. The main character in a picaresque work when that character is a man or boy is known as a picaro. Picaresque works relate to a genre of usually satiric prose fiction originating in Spain and depicting in realistic, often humorous detail the adventures of a roguish hero of low social degree living by his or her wits in a corrupt society.
In katakana, Picaro is written as ピカロ. (ピカ, pika, the sound made by electricity, which will probably remind you of Pikachu.)
- He's the first among the Time Sweepers to figure out that the Time Goddesses may be involved with the monsters with time barriers.
- Picaro complains that the Time Furnace World is "burning hot" in the cut content.
- Picaro's jacket is a shade of purple that cannot be attained in the character customisation. Neither is his fur pattern.
- Picaro usually wields his sweeper right-handed but is capable of leading with his left.
