Differences in Original and Platinum Edition
Written and submitted by Blinx347. Thank you for your contribution!
So, I had a bunch of free time and two copies of Blinx: The Time Sweeper, one original in its green case and one of the platinum edition in a metal-grey case. Anyway, I decided to compare them both and came up with a table showing their differences. Other than the platinum version being localized in Spanish*, it was also modified so it would be easier to play. I tried a fun experiment: playing each level with the goal of leaving with the 10 most valuable trash on each one. And it gets really hard on some! I made a table showing that, could be helpful for anyone trying to do the same thing. *Differences between the original and platinum editions are the same in all localisations, as confirmed by this forum post.

More information
The Platinum Hits are a range of games that have sold a considerable number of units in the first nine months after release. They are re-released at a set price of around $20. Blinx was put in the Games in Platinum Family Hits series, being appropriate for all ages.
Because they are a re-release, games can be modified to have additional content, DLC, game tweaks and bug fixes. As described by Blinx347's document, Artoon made a significant number of changes when given the opportunity to fix it. They went through the entire game adjusting small things which ultimately makes the game a little easier and better in game design.
